Ben Hass

Ben Hass is the VP of Engineering. He joined Call9 in early 2016, working as a Software Engineer focusing on the Android application and web platform, and was promoted to lead a talented team of eight engineers responsible for creating the technology that powers Call9’s innovative service.

Prior to Call9, Hass worked for Microsoft in both Silicon Valley and Seattle. He focused primarily on iOS applications and worked on the Outlook Customer Manager and Microsoft Teams products. He also internally launched a workplace communication app called Watercoolr that allowed company employees to communicate anonymously with one another.

Hass graduated from UC San Diego with a major in Physics and a minor in Computer Science. While there, he worked on a distributed system that analyzed collision data at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. In a stroke of good fortune, he was spending the summer at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, when the Higgs Boson discovery was announced. He also spent time in college surfing some sweet waves down at Blacks Beach, where the breaks were legendary.
