Sylvan Waller, MD


Sylvan Waller, MD, is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Call9.

Dr. Waller is an accomplished healthcare executive, operator, physician leader and entrepreneur who has helped scale multiple technology-enabled healthcare services companies. His expertise in creating and delivering value-based care will help Call9 as it continues its expansion throughout the New York market and across the United States. Dr. Waller was formerly the CMO of MDLIVE, one of the first and largest telehealth companies in the United States, and the Founder and CEO of Alii Healthcare, a telehealth company designed to connect patients with ER doctors. Alii Healthcare was later acquired by Piedmont Healthcare, a leading community health system.

Previously, Dr. Waller also served as CMO East Division with Schumacher Clinical Partners where he scaled the practice to $250 million in revenue and 2.5 million annual patient visits, serving 100 hospitals with more than 2,500 Emergency Medicine providers. He also served as VP Operations at ApolloMD where he helped scale the company and led Northeast regional operations with direct P&L responsibility for more than 180,000 patient visits per year. Before gaining his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and residency at Emory University School of Medicine, he spent five years consulting for Accenture and Kaiser Permanente.
