Jonathan Fisher, MD, MPH, is the Director of Care Quality, Innovating Safely, Research and Academic Affairs at Call9. Dr. Fisher has dedicated his career to advancing Prehospital Care and Emergency Medicine through innovation, education and research. He is staunch advocate for systems-based practice, quality improvement and patient safety. At Call9, he focuses on ensuring the safety of our model of and studying its impact on the healthcare system.
Dr. Fisher has a long track record of success, having served for many years as a Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. During his tenure in Boston, he founded the first ACGME Emergency Medical Services fellowship at Harvard. Dr. Fisher has a national reputation and is actively involved in numerous organizations, committees and task forces for the American College of Emergency Physicians and Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. He has a long history of research productivity and grant funding with numerous presentations and publications.
Dr. Fisher attended medical school in a combined BA/MD/MPH program at Tufts and then went on to complete his Emergency Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham & Women’s Hospital where he served as chief resident. He was recruited from Boston for a Professorship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix.
